In order to achieve healthier, more youthful-looking skin, SkinPen® Microneedling is a professional-administered skin-rejuvenating procedure that triggers collagen production in the skin. What areas can be treated?
All parts of the body can be treated with SkinPen® Microneedling, including the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back.
Do I need to have more than one treatment?
For optimal results, some patients only require one treatment per year. Most patients, however, should receive a series of 2-4 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. Patients with deep wrinkles, photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars should receive 4 to 6 sessions.
Who should not get SkinPen® Microneedling?
SkinPen® shouldn’t be used on patients who have active skin cancer in the treatment area(s); open wounds, sores, or irritated skin in the treatment area(s); an allergic reaction to stainless steel or anesthetics; pregnancy or nursing; or taking isotretinoin-containing medications (such as Accutane).
